Real granite laminate. Slab granite can start at 60 per square foot and the price can range a great deal topping at 200 per square foot. On the other hand fake granite will be non porous. Granite like sheets from granite transformations can help you save money by avoiding the time and inconvenience associated with demolition and installation of ordinary slab granite. Some laminates are designed to look like granite or other stones with a repeating pattern copied from real stone.
Add contact cement to the countertop surface. Because the designs are printed however they aremuch more uniform and regularthan granite. Beveled cascade and crescent decorative edges avail. Lay laminate on top of the dowel rods position it then slowly remove the dowels.
Cut out rough dimensions for the laminate. Look at the seam. Cover the glued surface with dowel rods placed every four inches. Take a small amount of water and apply it to a small area of the stone.
Cut the laminate edge excess with a router. Natural granite is porous and therefore will absorb water that is spilled on the surface unless it has recently been sealed. Glue laminate strips to the sides with contact cement and roll smooth. If the cost is too low you are likely looking at laminate countertops with a veneer or very low quality granite.
