Red Wax Off Carpet
Using a warm iron slowly press the iron on top of the paper bag or cloth.
Red wax off carpet. Heat up your iron to the lowest setting turn off the steam function and run a clean iron over the towel to heat the wax. If a bit of a stain is left from the dye rub with rubbing alcohol to remove the color. A warm iron and paper towel gets wax out about 90 of it. Next place a few ice cubes in the plastic bag and set this over the stain to harden any remaining wax.
There are two parts to this the wax the red dye in the wax. Then remove the rest of the wax with mild solvent like goof off. Using the table knife get as much candle wax out of the carpet as you can. The heat will draw the wax out of the carpet and into the towel.
You ll see that the material will start to absorb the wax and lift it off the carpet. Don t rub hard that wears carpet fibers. Next lay either a brown paper bag or a clean cloth directly over the affected area of your carpet. Press an iron set on high over the towel for 10 seconds.
Place a paper towel brown paper bag or white terry cloth towel on top of the remaining wax stain. You don t want to tear out carpet fibers just get out excess wax so the rest of the steps are easier. Either a carpet spray or cleaning solvent is fine. Remove the plastic bag and begin to scrape the wax off the carpet using a dull knife.
Dampen a white cotton towel fold it in half and place it over the wax. Repeat until the wax is gone you may have to hold the iron in place for up to 30 seconds.
